About this site
Whitetip Alley is a dive site at Gato Island, reached by a 40-minute boat ride from Malapascua in the Philippines. It sits at a maximum depth of 24–30 m and is rated suitable for novice to advanced divers depending on conditions on the day.
The site's main draw is an exceptionally reliable encounter with whitetip reef sharks, with a near-100% chance of sightings reported. Individual sharks can reach around 2 metres in length. Frogfish and spider crabs are also regularly seen here.
Water temperature stays between 28–30°C year-round, and visibility is generally good. The site can be dived throughout the year.
