About this site
Seamans Ura (シーマンズ裏) is a shore-entry site at Shishihama, Numazu, on the west coast of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka, with a maximum depth of 40 m, suitable from beginner level with little current. It is the main Shishihama site, with easy entry and exit and a full set of guide lines for navigation. It has the greatest variety and number of species in the area for both macro and wide-angle fish-watching, and a broad shelf at 5 m suits training courses.
