About this site
Shishihama Stage 1 (ステージ１) is a shore-entry site at Shishihama, Numazu, on the west coast of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka, with a maximum depth of 40 m, suitable from beginner level with little current. It adjoins Seamans Ura and includes a sand patch known as Small World where sea moths, seahorses and shrimp gobies live. As a secondary site it sees fewer divers, so delicate soft corals remain intact.
