About this site
Osezaki Sentan (先端) is a shore-entry site at the tip of the Osezaki cape, Numazu, on the west coast of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka, with a maximum depth of 30 m and an average around 20 m, intermediate and above, with current that is sometimes fast. Entry is over boulders, and heading offshore leads to colonies of soft coral, sea fans and anemones with anthias schooling around them. The bottom drops away suddenly part-way out, and the current calls for care.
