About this site

Shallow Turbo is a dive site off Gili Trawangan, one of the three Gili Islands lying off the northwest coast of Lombok in West Nusa Tenggara. The island sits within the Gili Matra marine protected area, and its surrounding waters are accessed by short boat rides from the harbor on Gili Trawangan itself. The site sits over a reef bottom with a maximum depth of around 18 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Sea turtles and unicornfish are common here, and divers have also reported batfish, garden eels, ghost pipefish and ornate ghost pipefish, pufferfish, reef sharks, and scorpionfish on the reef.
