About this site
Shipwreck Post lies off the northeast coast of Borneo, in the waters near Sipadan and the Semporna area of Sabah, despite the listed region name of Kalimantan Timur. This part of the Celebes Sea is known for its steep drop-offs and small island chains reached by boat from the Semporna peninsula. The site itself is a wreck dive reaching a maximum depth of around 18 metres, rated intermediate, with the structure now serving as the main feature on an otherwise sandy or reef-adjacent bottom. Divers have reported batfish, frogfish, grouper, and lionfish around the wreck.
