About this site
Sibil offers dramatic underwater landscapes off Pico in the Azores. Volcanic formations create steep walls and swim-throughs teeming with marine life. Schools of barracuda and yellowmouth barracuda patrol the blue, while moray eels and octopus hide in crevices. Strong currents attract pelagics like mantas and occasional hammerheads. Depths range from 12 to 40 meters, best for advanced divers. Visibility often exceeds 30 meters in these nutrient-rich Atlantic waters. The site's volcanic origins make it a unique dive in the Azores.
