About this site

Simon's Reef sits off Gili Air, one of the three small islands north of Lombok in West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, within the reef systems of the Lombok Strait reached by short boat trips from the islands' dive operators. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 41.5 metres over a reef bottom, rated technical with medium current. Fusiliers and nudibranchs are a regular sight here, and divers have also reported bannerfish, barracuda, cuttlefish, eagle rays, frogfish, lionfish, marble rays, pygmy seahorses, reef sharks, sea turtles, seahorses, sweetlips, and tuna.
