Verde Island lies in the Verde Island Passage between Batangas province on Luzon and Puerto Galera on Mindoro, a channel long noted for its marine biodiversity. Dive sites around the island are reached by boat from the Batangas coast or from Puerto Galera, dropping onto the reefs and slopes that ring the island.
