About this site
Sugar Hill (シュガーヒル) is a boat-dive sand site in the Chibishi islets, about 30 minutes from Naha, Okinawa, with a maximum depth of 18 m and an average around 10 m. Fine white sand like powdered sugar covers the whole bottom, sloping gently offshore from 10 m like a ski run, and blue-spotted stingrays rest half-buried in it. It is a relaxed site with anemonefish, damselfish and parrotfish; little current and suitable from beginner level.
