About this site
Tago Shirasaki (白崎) is a boat-dive site 3 minutes out from Tago, Nishiizu, on the west coast of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka, with a maximum depth of 35 m, suitable from beginner level with no current. At about 8 m a wide bed of branching hard coral covers the bottom, with bigfin reef squid eggs and tropical drift-ins among the branches. Rays are common on the sand, giving the dive good variety.
