Taru

Taru is a wreck dive site off Koh Lipe, in the Adang-Rawi Archipelago of Satun province in far southern Thailand, within Tarutao National Marine Park near the Malaysian maritime border. The site is reached by boat from Koh Lipe or the surrounding islands, like other dive spots scattered among this archipelago's granite and coral formations. The wreck itself forms the bottom structure, sitting at a maximum depth of around 20 metres, and is rated a beginner dive. Divers have reported batfish and Indo-Pacific sergeant majors around the structure, along with wrasses such as checkerboard, moon, and zigzag wrasse, blackeye thicklip, swarthy parrotfish, triangular butterflyfish, banded sea urchins, and blue Linckia sea stars on the surrounding bottom.
