About this site

The Cathedral is a cave dive site among the Ko Ha Yai island group off Krabi, in the Andaman Sea of southern Thailand, reached by boat from Krabi or Ko Lanta. The islands here are granite outcrops rising from the sea, typical of this part of the Andaman coast, and the site itself is set into a cave with a bottom of rock, reaching a maximum depth of around 20 metres. It is rated an advanced dive given the cave environment. Nudibranchs are a regular find here, and divers have also reported barracuda, frogfish, hammerhead sharks, harlequin shrimp, leaf scorpionfish, lionfish, pipefish, pufferfish, and scorpionfish around the site.
