About this site
The Edge sits off Pemba Island, along the coastline separated from mainland Tanzania by the deep Pemba Channel, and takes its name from the sharp drop-off it follows. It's a wall dive rated technical, with strong currents that divers need to account for here. Snapper are a common sight along the wall, and divers have also reported grouper and Napoleon wrasse. Boats reaching the site typically run from operators near Chake Chake or Wete, or from resorts on the island's northern tip.
