About this site
Torinokubi (トリノクビ) is a boat dive off Okinoshima in Sukumo Bay, Kochi Prefecture, with a maximum depth of 30 m and an average around 10 m. It is suitable from beginner level and current is very rare. The coral cover here is considered the best in the area and starts from about 7 m, so beginners can see it easily. In autumn schools of around 50 batfish appear, up to three green sea turtles may be met on one dive, and yellow pygmy seahorses are found at several spots between 10 and 20 m, alongside schooling amberjack and silver-stripe round herring.
