About this site
Torinokuchi (トリノクチ) is a boat-dive reef on the south-west side of Kume Island, Okinawa, about 30 minutes from harbour, with a maximum depth of 20 m and an average around 10 m. Complex rock with holes and crevasses shelters comet fish, dottybacks and cave gobies in the dark, while blennies and several anemonefish species live in the shallows. It lies on a manta ray route, so encounters are likely in winter. Suitable for all levels.
