Underwater Volcano

Weh Island sits off the northern tip of Sumatra near Banda Aceh, in the Andaman Sea, where the coastline is shaped by volcanic geology, and this wall site is typically reached by boat from operators based around Sabang. It reaches a maximum depth of around 41 metres and is rated a technical dive. Divers have reported a cave entry as a hazard here, so route awareness matters more than on an open wall. Damselfish have also been spotted at the site, though the wall itself is the main draw given the depth and technical rating involved.
