About this site
W-Reef sits in the waters off Rinca in the Komodo National Park area of West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. This part of the park lies along the channels between Komodo and Rinca islands, where boats based out of Labuan Bajo commonly run day trips and liveaboard stops. The surrounding seascape is shaped by the strong tidal exchange between the Flores Sea and the Indian Ocean, and the reef here reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres.
