About this site
Alamanda sits along Bali's southeastern coast, reached by boat trips run out of the nearby coastal towns. The site is a reef dive reaching a maximum depth of around 50 metres, rated beginner friendly with light current and good visibility. Bumphead parrotfish and Napoleon wrasse are regularly seen over the reef, and divers have also reported barracuda, eagle rays, fusiliers, snapper, trevally, sea turtles, octopus, nudibranchs, pipefish, mantis shrimp, and even pygmy seahorses and leaf scorpionfish tucked into the reef. Larger pelagics including manta rays, hammerheads, thresher sharks, and mola mola have also been reported passing through.
