Baracuda Point

Baracuda Point is a well known dive site off Pulau Menjangan, in the Bali Barat National Park on the northwest coast of Bali. It is a wall dive along the drop-off on the north side of the island, where the reef falls steeply into deeper water and divers often drift along the wall in gentle to moderate current. It draws its name from the barracuda that are commonly sighted schooling along the drop-off, along with reef fish, turtles and healthy coral growth on the wall itself. Depths on the wall commonly run from around 5 metres on the shallow reef top down past 30 metres, and the site suits a range of experience levels since currents are usually mild, though they can pick up at times. Menjangan's location within a marine protected area has helped keep the coral cover here in good condition compared to more crowded parts of Bali.
