About this site
Blue Lagoon lies on the Bali coast near Padang Bai, on the island's southeast side facing the Lombok Strait. It is a sheltered bay reached by boat or a short walk down from the road above, with the drop-off referring to a wall on the outer edge of the cove where the sandy shallows give way to deeper water, reaching around 30 metres. Current is generally light and the site is rated suitable for beginners. Divers have reported frogfish, ghost pipefish, pipefish, seahorses, and nudibranchs tucked along the slope, along with grouper, lionfish, scorpionfish, and the occasional reef shark.
