About this site
Chosaku (長作) is a boat-dive site 15 minutes out from Kawana, Ito, on the east coast of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka, with a maximum depth of 25 m and an average around 10 m, intermediate and above, with current, and open year-round. It is the southernmost Kawana site and has the strongest current, which brings dense fish life and good odds on schools of chicken grunt, takabe, yellowtail and eagle rays. Sea fans and soft coral are well developed, with frogfish and nudibranchs for macro.
