Coral Garden is a shallow reef dive site in Tulamben Bay, on the northeast coast of Bali, situated between the Liberty Wreck and Drop-Off dive sites. The reef stretches approximately 150 metres along the shore and sits on a bed of black sand, ranging from 3 to 15 metres depth. It is part of an ongoing reef restoration project, and sunken Balinese statues — including figures of Buddha and various Hindu gods — are scattered across the site, functioning as artificial reef structures alongside natural table corals, anemones, and sponges.
The site is shore-accessible and open to all levels, with its shallow depth and calm waters making it particularly well suited to beginner divers practicing skills and to snorkelers. Underwater photographers are drawn here for the clear water and concentration of macro life.
The Coral Garden holds a strong selection of macro species, including ghost pipefish, leaf scorpionfish, harlequin shrimp, and mantis shrimp. Ribbon eels in bright blue and yellow are regularly spotted, and large patches of anemones shelter clownfish throughout the site. Nudibranchs are common; night dives offer a good chance of seeing the Spanish dancer. Squid, cuttlefish, and schooling trevally, sweetlip, and snapper are also present, along with black- and white-tip reef sharks that patrol the area.
