Drop Off

Drop Off sits near Menjangan Island off the northwest coast of Bali, part of West Bali National Park's marine area. As the name suggests, it is a wall dive, with the reef edge falling away to a maximum depth of around 60 metres, rated technical, and it is usually dived in light current with good visibility. Divers have reported a wide range of life along the wall and its shallower reef sections, including angelfish, damselfish, fusiliers, grouper, trevally, tuna, and mackerel, along with smaller finds such as frogfish, leaf scorpionfish, nudibranchs, octopus, ornate ghost pipefish and seahorses. Napoleon wrasse and triggerfish round out the sightings here. Walls in this part of Bali tend to be dived along the shallower upper sections, with the full depth range available for those working further down the face.
