El Shugarat lies along the coast of South Sinai (Janub Sina'), Egypt, in the Red Sea region known for its fringing reefs, and is typically accessed from the resort towns of the Sinai peninsula by boat or shore entry. It is a wall dive over a reef bottom, reaching a maximum depth of around 40 metres and rated advanced. Nudibranchs are common along the wall, and divers have also reported butterflyfish, crocodilefish, and stingrays here.
