About this site
Om Sid lies on the Gulf of Aqaba coast of the Sinai Peninsula, part of the fringing reef stretch north of Dahab town center where the reef drops off close to shore into deeper water. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres over a reef bottom and is rated a beginner dive, though strong currents are a known hazard here. Divers have reported garden eels, manta rays, napoleon wrasse, nudibranchs, and pufferfish along the reef.
