About this site
Due to conflicting news reports, this wooden schooner was long believed to be the St. Andrew, lost in a collision with the Peshtigo. However, in 2019 the real St. Andrew and Peshtigo were found together in deep water off Beaver Island. Research is ongoing to determine the true identity of this wreck. An 1857 coin was found in the step of the foremast. Lies in about 18.3 m.
