About this site
Gama (ガマ) is a boat dive at Susami on the Kii Peninsula in Wakayama, about fifteen minutes from the harbour, with a maximum depth of 23 m and an average around 12 m. A guide rope leads to the mouth of a cave whose ceiling forms an air dome, and inside are sweepers in their thousands. Barracuda, opaleye, boxer crabs and decorator crabs on the sea fans are also found. No current, suitable from beginner level.
