About this site
Habu Minato (波浮港) is a harbour site on Izu Oshima in the Izu Islands, Tokyo, the fallback that stays diveable when everything else on the island is closed. It is shallow and calm; maximum depth 7 m, average around 6 m, suitable from beginner level, with no current. Seahorses live inside the harbour; the water beyond the tetrapods is a shipping channel, so ascent skills are not practised there, and floats are not used in front of the boat ramp.
