About this site
Hinpa Oki (品覇沖) is a boat-dive reef off Yoron Island in Kagoshima Prefecture, about 6 minutes from Chabana harbour, with no current. It combines a natural channel with coral, and it is a spawning ground for broadclub cuttlefish, so egg-laying and hatching can be seen in season; green turtles are resident nearby. Anemonefish, damselfish, bannerfish, dartfish, pufferfish and butterflyfish are typical.
