About this site
Hotoke (ホトケ) is a boat-dive site about 7 minutes from the pier at Osezaki, Numazu, on the west coast of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka, with a maximum depth of 30 m and an average around 20 m, intermediate and above. A pinnacle rises from 30 m, its surface packed with soft coral and schooling takabe and chicken grunt. The site is also a fishing ground, so diving it requires arrangement through a local dive service.
