About this site
Ipponmatsu (一本松) is a shore-entry site at Osezaki, Numazu, on the west coast of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka, with a maximum depth of 25 m and an average around 20 m, suitable from beginner level. Large schools of cardinalfish and big sea fans are the regular sights, with pelagics such as amberjack in autumn. A rock at 16 m known as the rice-ball rock often holds blennies and red frogfish.
