About this site
Iruka Iwa (イルカ岩) is a small boat-dive site off Enoshima on the Shonan coast of Kanagawa, lying between the Hole and Kujira Iwa, with a maximum depth of 13 m and an average around 5 m, intermediate and above. The rock is cut by several steep, interlocking channels. Large sharks are occasionally met when visibility is poor, juvenile bannerfish and boxfish appear in summer, and in autumn big schools of mullet can cover the surface.
