About this site
Isakine (イサキネ) is a site on Hatsushima, the island off Atami in Shizuoka, entered by boat and exited over the shore slope at Futatsune, with a maximum depth of 25 m, intermediate and above, with current at times. The long swim means it is reserved for divers who can hold buoyancy over distance. Good water movement feeds large, healthy soft coral and dense fish life, with the island's best chance of pelagics, while angel sharks, guitarfish, cat sharks, Japanese bullhead sharks and flounder are common on the sand and rocks.
