About this site
Taiheiyo (太平洋) is a boat-dive reef 40 minutes from Ibaruma harbour on Ishigaki Island in the Yaeyama Islands, Okinawa, dived at depths of 10 to 30 m and only on calm days. Moving through a crevasse in the current, divers meet large animals streaming past: spotted eagle rays, whitetip reef sharks, marbled stingrays, sea turtles, giant trevally and sweetlips. Current is present; advanced divers only.
