Izu Ocean Park Ichi no Ne

Izu Ocean Park Ichi no Ne (1の根) is a shore-entry site at Izu Ocean Park, Yawatano, Ito, on the east coast of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka, with a maximum depth of 26 m, suitable from beginner level. The reef spans 5 m to about 26 m, so routes can be chosen by level and by target, and it is the park's signature dive. Intermediate divers can look into the grouper hole on the south side at the base of the detached rock for large longtooth grouper, blue-barred parrotfish and conger, while the detached rock at the tip holds schooling anthias and cardinalfish, many nudibranchs including the Pikachu nudibranch, and past finds such as juvenile clown triggerfish, ghost pipefish and black warty frogfish; air and computer need watching because the searching tends to happen deep.
