About this site
Okuridashi no Irie (オクリダシの入り江) is a shore-entry cove at Izu Ocean Park, Yawatano, Ito, on the east coast of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka, with a maximum depth of 6 m, suitable from beginner level. In 3–6 m of water it carries good fish life for introductory dives and snorkelling, and it is a reliable spot for tropical drift-ins such as juvenile semicircle angelfish, boxfish, emperor angelfish, anemonefish, waspfish and orange-dashed gobies. Many divers spend their safety stop fish-watching here, a permanent buoy line helps anyone unsure about descending, and the cove serves as an alternative entry and exit when the sea is rough.
