About this site
Jukdo (죽도) is the largest of Ulleungdo's satellite islets, about 4.8 km north-east of Jeodong harbour, and is dived by boat from the island. Around ten numbered points ring the islet, ranging from gentle slopes and kelp beds at 9 m to sheer walls that drop to 30-50 m, with sea fans, black coral and large pelagic fish. Visibility is among the best in Korea; the deeper walls suit advanced divers.
