About this site
The King Cruiser was a car and passenger ferry that sank in 1997 after striking Anemone Reef in the Andaman Sea off Phuket and Phangnga. The wreck lies between Phuket and Koh Phi Phi and is a popular dive site reached by boat from Phuket. It is a large steel-hulled ferry, broken in places and encrusted with soft corals, with divers commonly seeing lionfish, batfish, and occasional larger pelagics passing through open water nearby. The site has a maximum depth of around 18 metres and is rated an intermediate dive.
