About this site
Kukulkan Cenote sits inland on the Yucatan Peninsula in Quintana Roo, part of the region's dense network of freshwater cenotes formed in the limestone bedrock. These sinkholes connect to the vast underground river systems that run beneath the jungle between Tulum and Puerto Aventuras, often accessed by short drives from the coastal towns along Highway 307. The dive here reaches a maximum depth of around 15 metres and is rated a beginner site.
