About this site
Steel cargo ship of 74 m belonging to the Société algérienne de Navigation, lost in heavy seas on 9–10 December 1934 while carrying fuel drums. The practically intact wreck lies in 62 m about 14 km south-south-west of the Espiguette lighthouse, its highest point at 48 m, largely draped in fishing and trawl nets. A deep, technical dive for confirmed Level 4 divers with current and often poor visibility; huge concentrations of pouting and anthias.
