About this site
The Leviathan was a famous wrecking tug based in Cheboygan, involved in the recovery of many stranded or injured vessels. She burned at her Cheboygan River dock and settled to the bottom. The remains were raised and relocated in Duncan Bay, very near the Genesee Chief, and are another prime kayak and snorkel site off Cheboygan State Park. Lies in about 3.7 m; sank 1891.
