Martin Reef sits within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park off the coast of far north Queensland, in the offshore reef complex east of the Cooktown region. Reefs in this part of the Coral Sea approach are typically accessed by liveaboard rather than day boats out of Cairns or Port Douglas, given the distance north.
