About this site
Snake Pit lies on the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of far north Queensland, in the ribbon reef area accessed mainly by liveaboard trips running out of Cairns or Port Douglas. This stretch of outer reef sits well offshore, where the ribbon reefs face the Coral Sea.
