Mitohama Paradise Point

Paradise Point (パラダイスポイント) is a boat-dive site at Mitohama in Miura on the Miura Peninsula, Kanagawa, about five minutes from the harbour, with a maximum depth of 25 m and an average around 15 m. Ropes run from the buoy to three reefs, Mejina no Ne, Minami Ne and Paradise Ne, and with Kita Ne to the north the four reefs of different character allow many routes. Occasional current; suitable from beginner level. Largescale blackfish, striped beakfish, spotted knifejaw, longtooth grouper, painted sweetlips, butterflyfish, stripey, pinecone fish, frogfish, ghost gobies, red sea bream, horse mackerel, chicken grunt, amberjack, yellowtail, angelfish, anthias, scorpionfish, lionfish, hawkfish, shrimps, crabs, John Dory and pipefish are typical.
