About this site
Umigaku House Reef (海学ハウスリーフ) is a shallow shore-entry site at Moroiso in Miura on the Miura Peninsula, Kanagawa, four minutes' walk from the entry, with depths averaging 5–7 m. No current; suitable for all levels from beginner to advanced. Banded houndsharks, rays, schools of damselfish and cardinalfish, butterflyfish, nudibranchs, gobies, snake eels, Japanese bullhead sharks, domino damsels, crustaceans and lumpfish in winter are typical.
