About this site
MT Hephaestus lies off the coast of Malta, resting on a wreck bottom at a maximum depth of around 45 metres and rated a technical dive. Divers have reported that wreck penetration here requires certification, and air consumption management is a real concern given the depth and the enclosed spaces inside the hull. Sightings of Mola mola, octopus, and seahorses have also been reported around the wreck, adding some marine life interest to what is otherwise a demanding, structure-focused dive.
