MV Cominoland lies in Maltese waters, part of the wreck diving scene around the Malta archipelago, which includes the islands of Malta, Gozo, and Comino for which this vessel appears to be named. The area is known for deliberately scuttled wrecks placed to create artificial reef dives for the local diving industry. This wreck rests on a sand bottom at a maximum depth of around 42 metres, and it is rated a technical dive. Divers exploring it have reported barracuda, grouper, moray eels, and nudibranchs around the structure.
