About this site
Nakase (中瀬) is an offshore boat pinnacle off Nango on the Nichinan coast of Miyazaki Prefecture, just under 20 minutes from harbour, with a maximum depth of 40 m and an average of around 5 m on the top. A long, narrow ridge rises from 40 m and holds schools of surgeonfish, largescale blackfish and fusiliers, with a good chance of larger pelagics. Because it sits well out from shore it is dived only occasionally. Current at times; recommended for Advanced divers with 50 or more dives.
