About this site
Todaishita (灯台下) is a boat-dived wall site off Nango on the Nichinan coast of Miyazaki Prefecture, 10 minutes from harbour, with depths from 5 to 30 m. Large boulders lie scattered across the site and their faces are thickly covered in soft coral, with damselfish and anthias swarming over them. Shrimps, crabs and nudibranchs are found in the rock, along with surgeonfish, bannerfish and parrotfish, and eagle rays appear occasionally. Little current; suitable from beginner level.
